Enjoy.
Zoo York’s Donny Barley host a skateboard camp for the kiddos annually. This was the second year it happened and our very own Kelly Dunn was there to help out.
http://zooyorkevents.blogspot.com/2007/06/skateboard-camp-featuring-donny-barley.html
Kelly’s role was to coach kids how to skate:
‘ I mainly worked with the two girls, one was 9 her name was Jordan and the other was Hayley she was 12. Most of the day it was all of us (coaches) working with all of them (campers) playing skate games. Skate tag was the camp favorite, its like freeze tag except you cant leave your skateboard. The kids loved it though and it helped them learn to push around and ride a bunch!’
Sounds like a rad camp for both the kids and the coaches.

This photo has the two girls that were at camp this session. This was the last day of the camp and the little boy was signing one of the little girl’s shirts because she thought he was cute. Awwwww….
I know, it’s in Austrian (I think). It’s a rad clip though so watch it
It’s a link sent from Austrian MotoX racer Petra Bernhard.
Here is a note I got fromNikita France announcing our new skater girl from Austria. Welcome Melly!
Hey all,
I wanted to introduce you our new Austrian Nikita Skate teamrider Melly Jovan! (Melanie Jovancic)! Born in 1992 and living in Vienna she started skateboarding just 2 years ago but simply loves her board. At the age of 14 she could finally convince her mum buying her a deck and since then one could never see her without it. She enjoys riding with good, loud music, she is a solid street skater and has incredible bowl skills. Unfortunally Melly injured her ankle at the European Skate Championships in Basel after an amazing wild card entry! So she got 15th, but was just happy to compete. In \ Switzerland she met Nikita Teamrider Lydia Wilfing and both of them had a god time skating together.
Yesss, Nikita builds friendships!! (see Maria Falbo and Kim Wibbelt) During her short career she had already competed several times and got some nice results:
(all from spring 2007 - summer 2008)
Wr. Neustadt Street Contest (2 Place)
Prater Contest – Street Contest (1st Place)
Prater Contest – Street Contest ( 2 Place)
Etnies Girls Camp – Basel (1st Place - Wild Card Entry ESC)
ESC Contest – Street Contest (15. Place)
Melanie is incredibly motivated representing Nikita in Austria - we wish her all the best!
I can just say WELCOME in the NIKITA family, Melly!!

Sabine Doppelhofer sent in some photos of her latest training session. Soon she will be back at the races again and I’m sure taking up her old habit of winning one race right after another.
Keep your eyes out on this girl.

Basel, Switzerland was the host to the Euro Skate Championships the 7-10th of August. Nikita was well represented with 14 year old Lydia Wilfing from Germany who got 5th, Austrian gal Melly Jovan in 15th and Kim Wibbelt in 22nd. Kim was suffering a knee injury and Melly from a nice slam from the gap but they still skated. Nice job girls.
Here are some photos from Lydia:

‘After having been a model and ambassador for Nikita for some years, snowboarder/event organizer and megababe Kristin Lamont took it all the way and got the 4N star permanently fixed on her pretty hip. Pretty hip !
Big love and respect to Kristin for the dedication. Check out some of her Nikita flicks dating from Fall 2005 to Fall 2008, …which is …NOW IN STORES !’
~words from Iceland with love

Swedish Nikita fan Malin recently became another “Nikita forever” girl after getting some cool ink on her left arm. Congratulations Malin, we’re STOKED !!
…and we’ll stay cool forever no worries the ink fading
Girls, send us a photo of your Nikita ink if you have it.

So we all work real hard all over the world for Nikita but sometimes, just sometimes…”things like this pop up”, says Runar from our Icelandic offices.
During lunch the other day they had ahair and makup party. The winner? The lovely Saadia Audur Dhour who is the do-all, amazing office assistant in Iceland. Man, where would the office be without her? And no, boys, you may not ask for her phone number, Face Book or MySpace name or home address.
Fun times at work.

The, while eating cake…I’m pretty sure the Iceland office eats a fair amount of cake…suspicion arose about the real identity of Helga’s biological father. A certain 80’s pop star is suspected of having visited Iceland numerous times leading the Nik Iceland crew to believe that Helga’s father is not who she thinks he is. DNA will be researched by www.decode.com in order to find the truth. We’ll keep you informed.

Helga is our design and project development babe in Iceland and, again boys, no you may not have her contact information.
